Ben 10
Joel Silver is going to direct a live-action Ben 10 movie with Cartoon Network. Albert Torres is rumoured to be writing the script now.
Ben 10 is about Ben Tennyson, who has a watch-like device that allows him to transform into ten aliens. He fight evil aliens along with his grandpa and cousin Gwen.
'Jedi' Jailed For Attacking Police.
A 33-year- old man has been jailed for 45 days on Monday after attacking toy store workers and police with plastic light sabers.
Armed with one toy weapon in each hand, David Canterbury swung the Star Wars light sabers at three customers in a Toys R Us store in Oregon on December 14 last year.The would-be Jedi then launched an attack at police officers waiting for him outside the store, successfully deflecting a stun gun dart, according to police at the scene. He was also said to have been mumbling something incoherently.
Police eventually wrestled the man to the ground and made the arrest.Judge Kenneth Walker handed the man a 45-day jail sentence, after he pleaded no contest to charges of assault and resisting arrest. The man was also submitted for a mental health evaluation.Judge Walker dismissed charges of theft, disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer.
Canterbury said he was already seeking mental health treatment for his condition and apologised to his victims.He has been banned from the toy store.
Dreams Come True For Twins.
Imagining you have a long-lost twin is usually the work of fairy tales but for two women it has come true.
Both women, who were born in Indonesia, were adopted separately by Swedish couples nearly 29 years ago, and have now found each other after living just 25 miles apart in southern Sweden.When Emilie Falk and Lin Backman were adopted from the orphanage in Semarang, Indonesia, their documents did not mention they were twins. But a passing comment by a taxi driver made to Backman’s parents about ‘her sister’ prompted them to make a note of the girls’ Indonesian names.
Back in Sweden, the Backmans found and made contact with the Falks, and although they met a few times when the girls were babies, the fact that they were non-identical, and numerous discrepancies in their adoption papers such as different father’s names, led them to believe the girls were not related. At that time there were no DNA tests and eventually the families lost contact.However when Emilie Falk got married two years ago she started to think more about her family and adoption. “When I asked my mother she told me this story again, and I decided to look for Lin," Falk told news agency AFP.
With the name of the other little adopted girl and through a network for Indonesian children adopted by Swedish families, she eventually found Backman via Facebook.She sent her a message and included her birthday and biological mother’s name. Backman wrote back saying: "Wow, that's my mother's name as well! And that's my birthday."A DNA test confirmed that there is a 99.98% chance the two are sisters.
As is often recounted in tales of twins that have been separated, the twins found many coincidences in their lives.They lived just 40 kilometres apart in the very south of Sweden, they are both teachers, they got married on the same day only one year apart and even danced to the same song at their wedding.The two women now keep in close touch and are considering a trip back to Indonesia to look for their biological parents.

A Brand New Discovery Thats 100 Years Old.
A violin has been found that was played by the band leader while the doomed ship, the Titanic, was sinking.
An auctioneer has hired experts to try to verify claims by the owner of the century old instrument that it belonged to Wallace Hartley, the leader of the vessel’s eight-man musical ensemble.
If proved, it could become the most valuable Titanic artifact ever to be considered for auction. But the claim is being treated with caution as a result.Hartley and his fellow musicians earned legendary status for their decision to play on as the ship sank on its maiden voyage on April 15, 1912.They are said to have played the hymn “Nearer My God to Thee” after the vessel hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic.
Press reports at the time said that when Hartley’s body was recovered from the water his violin was strapped to his chest.The violin and its case were said at the time to be being sent to the White Star line for forwarding to England.But mystery has surrounded its fate thereafter.
Round-Abouts Always Cause Problems.
A police officer has ended up crashing a £40,000 super car when he was taking it out on a test drive and lost control!
The top of the range Volkswagen Golf R, which has a 155mph top speed, was wrecked when the officer lost control on a roundabout, reducing the pristine vehicle to a crumpled heap.The officer, in his 40s, had to be cut from the wreck by firefighters and suffered spinal injuries but has now been discharged from hospital.
He was driving on a public road, testing the handling of the car, which had been loaned to Greater Manchester Police (GMP) two days before so officers could try the model out before the force decided whether to buy or not.Fortunately, the car, which can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 5.7 seconds, was insured.
The officer involved, who works in the automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) intercept unit which patrols car crime hotspots, is now temporarily suspended from driving duties while an investigation is under way.
GMP said they would also now look again at using public roads to test drive cars. No other cars were involved in the crash.
A spokesman for the force said: "Shortly before 1.50am on Thursday December 15 2011, a police officer in an unmarked vehicle was involved in a single vehicle collision on Wharfside Way, Old Trafford."The officer, from the ANPR Intercept Unit, was injured in the collision and he was taken to the Manchester Royal Infirmary having suffered a back injury.No members of the public were involved."As a result of this incident, Greater Manchester Police is currently reviewing its policy on officers test driving demonstration cars on public roads. That review is ongoing and it would not be appropriate to make any further comment."
