Greece v Russia
Greece were on a roll in the first half, Karagounis scoring the opening goal of the match. Russia weren't looking happy at all and tried to equalise, they never did. The match ended 1-0 to Greece, meaning that Russia have been knocked out of the tournament.

The game started very nervously, both teams wanting to snatch a win. Nothing major happened in the first half; but in the second, Poland desperately tried to score a goal. It never really paid off. The Czech Republic used a scoring opportunity ver well in the 72nd minute, Jiracek being the goal scorer. It was soon all over, Poland are definitely out of the EURO 2012; but it has only started for the Czechs.

Motor neurone disease (MND) is the name given to a group of rare diseases that affect nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord leading to muscle weakness and wasting.
About motor neurone disease...
Your brain sends instructions to muscles that control voluntary movement (such as walking and swallowing) along nerve cells called motor neurones. MND is a disease that gradually destroys these nerve cells leading to weakness and wasting of your muscles. Unfortunatley around three in every 100,000 people in the UK develop MND each year. It tends to occur as you get older – usually between the age 50 and 70. Men may be up to twice as likely as women to be affected.

- stiff joints

Although thinking and reasoning aren’t usually affected, it’s possible you may have some level of intellectual difficulty or a change in personality.
As the disease progresses you may have the following problems.
- Muscle weakness in your arms, hands and legs may make everyday tasks more difficult, such as turning taps or door handles, brushing your hair or fastening buttons. Raising your foot with each step may be difficult, which may cause your feet to drag on the floor. You may find it difficult to hold your head upright if your neck muscles weaken.
- Your throat muscles may be affected and this may lead to difficulties swallowing and with speech.
- You may laugh or cry more easily. This may be due to physical changes caused by the disease, rather than changes in how you’re feeling.
- The muscles of your chest wall may be affected, which can make it difficult to breathe.

Diagnosis of motor neurone disease
- Your doctor will ask about your symptoms and examine you. He or she may also ask you about your medical history. If your doctor suspects you may have MND he or she will refer you to a neurologist (a doctor who specialises in conditions of the nervous system).
Sadly my grandad passed away from MND. It's a horrible feeling.

Gerrard was with the ball and was preparing for a cross over to Carroll. It was a great header from him and it ended up as a 1-0 lead for England. The fans went absolutely wild.
In the second half Sweden had a desperate comeback, scoring a goal in the 49th minute. When I say they, I mean Glen Johnson tried to kick the ball out, it bounced off the post and unfortunately into the net. An own goal, great. Sweden were hungry for more scoring once more from a corner kick. England were down 2-1. Just what we wanted...
Roy Hodgson made a decision to bring Theo Walcott on instead of Milner. He was the man that made a huge difference to the way England played. After a deflect corner, Theo found himself and went for goal. England scored again, Walcott's facial expressions suggested that he had no idea how that ball ended up in the back of the net. The game was equalised and it was all still to play for in Kiev. 12 minutes before the whistle Walcott was with the ball again, he passed it to Danny Welbeck. The ball hit his heel, and yes, it was the winning goal for England; 3-2 being the final score. Sweden were out of the tournament and were going home. We couldn't have done it without Joe Hart, he saved most of the Swedish shots and played a vital role in the squad.

A school in Cornwall says
that giving iPads to students and
teachers should help to improve standards.
The iPad is a large tablet that is very clever. It is brilliantly light and very thin. This gadget is just like any ordinary laptop/computer, just in a tablet form…
Mounts Bay Academy in Penzance has given the tablet computers to more
than 900 students and staff. The school are hoping this will help students to
learn, so they get better exam results.
Using iPads also saves money on paper. However, the school has spent
around £300,000 on the iPads.

School dinner blog girl banned from taking pics of food
A nine-year-old girl whose school dinner blog became an internet hit has been banned from taking photos of her meals. A girl from Argyll in Scotland, called Martha gave each meal a 'food-o-meter' and health rating. The writer achieved two million hits and attention from celebrity fans like Jamie Oliver. Unfortunately on Thursday evening, Martha's headteacher told her not to take more photographs for the blog.
She said, "Goodbye. This morning in maths I got taken out of class by my head teacher and taken to her office.
"I was told that I could not
take any more photos of my school dinners because of a headline in a newspaper
today."
Council's decision
The council have released a true statement saying Martha's photos showed "only a
fraction" of the food available. The decision, taken by Argyll and Bute Council, has caused a big storm as people around the world email and tweet the council about it. The statement from the council also says: "A decision has been made by the council to stop photos
being taken in the school canteen."
The girl's last review rated a meal 10/10 although she has been criticised for being overly harsh about some of the school dinners, the teacher's are not happy!
Martha's dad told the BBC he
supported what she had done.
He said: "Children are
engaging about food. They are very used to adults saying 'you should be eating
this', but when it's a child leading a change of attitudes that's powerful."
Forest Boy finally identified and admits "I made it all up"
The mystery of the forest boy who arrived in Berlin nine months ago claiming to have spent five years living in the woods has finally been solved with police identifying him as a runaway. It was discovered that he was making it all up.
Berlin police released a photograph of the boy, who called himself only "Ray", in the hope of finally solving a mystery that made headlines across the world and had confused detectives for months.
School friends contacted Dutch police after recognising him from the photograph and his stepmother was asked to verify it.
"We went to him with the new information this morning and he said: 'OK, you got me – I am Robin and I made the whole story up," Mr Neuendorf said on Friday.
Speaking in English, with a slight accent, Robin told the police: "I don't know who I am, I'm all alone in the world. Please help me."
He also told them that he had been walking five days after burying his dad in a grave after he had fell.
"We went to him with the new information this morning and he said: 'OK, you got me – I am Robin and I made the whole story up," Mr Neuendorf said on Friday.
Speaking in English, with a slight accent, Robin told the police: "I don't know who I am, I'm all alone in the world. Please help me."

The jubilee song 'Sing', made by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber, has become a loved song nation wide and has become a hit on You Tube. Just a few weeks after it was uploaded 'Sing' has gained 2,194,346 viewers!! It was made to celebrate the Queens diamond jubilee and in the video Gary travels all over the Commonwealth. He visits Jamaica Africa and many more countries. And for the concert, they were all flown over to London along with the British Military Wives and performed on stage to the World.

I think everyone knew that Ireland weren't going to pull through this one. They were playing the best team in the world after all. Spain were strong from the start, with Fernando Torres leading the way with the opening goal after only 3 minutes. Ireland were devastated. There was nothing they could do to stop the Spanish.
The second half came, but with no luck for the Irish. David Silva scored another early goal, again after just 3 minutes; the crowd went wild. Robbie Keane had a few breakthroughs with a very close opportunity to score, unfortunately it didn't work out. Their manager was looking furious. Spain were hungry for more, and Fernando Torres fed them with another goal in the 70th minute. Then Fábregas came onto the pitch and made sure his manager knew that it was worth bringing him on. He scored one last smashing goal 7 minutes before the end of the game. The Irish fans collapsed in tears, it was over. 4-0 to the best team in the world, Spain.

Tesco buys WE7.
The popular music sharing website WE7 has been bought by the equally popular supermarket company Tesco for £10.8million as the retail giant tries to move further into home entertainment. The supermarket company has taken a 91% stake in London - based WE7with the remaining shares to be purchased within weeks. Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel is expected to make a £2m from this deal.
WE7 boasts a catalogue of 11m music tracks and is available on iPad, iPhone and Android apps and on the web. The website and app service has never made a profit but in 2010 the company We7 tripled its annual turnover in 2010 and reduced losses to just under £3m.
Mark George, the digital director at Tesco, said in a statement: "Customers and technology together are transforming the way we listen to music.
"Tesco is already one of the UK's largest retailers of CDs; this move will help us offer a greater choice for the growing number of customers who want to access music instantly on any device, whenever and wherever they want. We7 has a great team and a good technology platform from which we can launch a range of digital music services in the future."
Meet The Dolphin With The Prothesthetic Tail!
As we all know, dolphins are adorable and clever creatures that occasionally get beached onto the shores of Florida. But most make steady recoveries when rescued by Seaworld, and various other marine-rescue services. But this is a story about a dolphin with a special story.
In 2005, a young bottle-nose dolphin was washed up onto the coast of Florida after being caught in a crab trap, which badly damaged her tail fin. After being rescued by the Clearwater Marine Rescue team, but unfortunatley, Winter's tail was so badly damaged they had to amputate it, leaving her unable to swim. However, this young dolphin wasn't going to give up that easily as she taught herself how to swim again. She did this by using side to side motions of her stubby tail like a shark, rather than up and down motions like a dolphin.

In 2005, a young bottle-nose dolphin was washed up onto the coast of Florida after being caught in a crab trap, which badly damaged her tail fin. After being rescued by the Clearwater Marine Rescue team, but unfortunatley, Winter's tail was so badly damaged they had to amputate it, leaving her unable to swim. However, this young dolphin wasn't going to give up that easily as she taught herself how to swim again. She did this by using side to side motions of her stubby tail like a shark, rather than up and down motions like a dolphin.

Girl gets new vein transplant
A 10-year-old girl has had a vein in her body replaced with a specially-grown one, Swedish doctors say. It was causing a blockage between her intestines and liver. A vein was taken from a dead man, and the cells from his body were removed from it. It was then covered in the girl's cells. Doctors said it gave a "striking" improvement to her life, later the new vein was transplanted into the body.

This method - of growing human tissue in a laboratory - has worked with other body parts before but this is the first time anything like this has been done to a 10-year-olds vein. The operation took place at Shalgrenska University Hospital and at the University of Gothenburg.

have give the expert doctors from Sweden

Rhino Poaching
There are risks that rhinos are in serious danger from people wanting rhino horns to use for medical reasons. This is a big problem in South Africa as 450 rhinos were killed. All zoos and wildlife parks have to be alert for any poachers because they kill zebras, rhinos and lots of other animals. WWF show that 341 have been killed in 2011, which has overtaken last years total of 333. Rhinos have had their horns sawn off and poachers shoot a dart into the rhino so that it goes to sleep. Then they saw its horns off and leave the animal to bleed to death. From around 2000-2005 rhinos are killed each year in South Africa.

Every time Julie Minter looks at her daughter Terri, she feels so much guilt and it reminds her of the tragedy that she is to blame! When Terri was just 22 months old, Julie 'accidently' left a burning cigarette in her room causing a fire which left Terri with 90% burns!
Terri's nose, hair, hands and ears were so badly burnt that fire fighters made the mistake of thinking she was a little plastic doll!
For more than a decade Julie has lived with a ton of guilt; now she is able to talk about the incedent which changed her and Terri's life forever.

Habbo 'muted' following explicit sex chat claims
Habbo Hotel, a popular social network
for kids, has temporarily suspended the chat function in the online hotel.
It follows allegations that paedophiles are using the virtual hotel to groom youngsters for sex.
A two-month Channel 4 investigation revealed that explicit sex chats were common within minutes of logging on to the service.
The decision to suspend chat has greatly angered Habbos, as users of the hotel are known.
All chat on the service - which has 250 million users - has been suspended, the firm announced this development last night.
This development is very disturbing, but I think that the administrators of Habbo could probably just ban those who are making the sex chat phrases because you can see who says what.

91 Year old Arthur Gilbert celebrated completing his 41st race.
Arthur carried the torch last month, and since then he has taken part in 41 triathlon events. He has also completed a 500m swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5k run. And overall he finished in 2 hours 47 minutes and 22 seconds. To do this he goes to the gym twice a week, goes cycling for 25 minutes everyday and swimming where he does 50 laps! After the race he said "It was really hard work and it gets even harder when you get older".

As the game started, Holland knew they had to win this match, or they would have a slim chance of getting out of the group stages. In the first 20 minutes, you couldn't really pick out the team that would win. But, just 4 minutes later Gomez scored a smashing goal; putting Germany in the lead. He didn't score once, but twice. The second goal stormed towards the net, making the score 2-0.
Holland didn't give up. They tried and tried again, failing most of the time. Finally, Van Persie got the ball, lined himself right in front of the goal and took the most important shot of his life. He scored, giving Holland some hope. Germany defended every shot from then on. It was all over. Germany won 2-1. Now you know why they call Group B the group of death. They will keep on going no matter what.

Portugal were in the lead, all thanks to Pepe.
The game carried on, Portugal leading the way. They got another fantastic chance and they didn't let it go to waste. Postiga shot the ball into the back of the net and Denmark were down 2-0. The happiness didn't last too long, Bendtner got on the end of a fantastic pass and scored. The first half ended in a 2-1 lead to Portugal.
The second half did not begin very well for the leaders. Denmark were keeping hold of the ball whenever they could; giving them fantastic scoring opportunities. At the other end of the pitch, Ronaldo was passed the ball twice and had two brilliant chances to score. But he failed to do what he does best. In the 80th minute Denmark used their passing skill well; getting a goal through Bendtner once again in a heart breaking moment for Portugal. 3 minutes before the game ended, a sub, Valera got on the end of a great cross; missing his first strike. He kept possession of the ball and had a shot at the goal. Did it go in? YES IT DID!!!! Portugal won the game 3-2.

Bear attack
On Saturday, a 55 year old man from Coquitlam felt heavy breathing on the back of his neck. The man turned around and he was face to face with a black bear. He screamed and ran inside. The man was badly injured and he suffered lacerations to the back of his head, so he was taken to a health centre. The police went to the crime scene, trying to locate the bear which was 100 meters away in the woods, and after hours the bear was spotted and killed because a police man had to shoot it.

Cameron and his wife suffered a mishap when they accidently left their daughter
at the pub!
David Cameron was born on the 9th of October 1966, and he is
the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, First Lord of the Treasury, Minister
for the Civil Service and Leader of the Conservative Party. 
Not so long ago David Cameron and
his wife and children went down to the Plough Inn pub in Buckinghamshire for their lunch.
However when they had finished eating, and they began to leave the pub, one of
their children; eight-year-old Nancy nipped off to the toilet without telling
anyone.
The
Prime Minister, who was travelling in a separate car to his family, assumed
that Nancy was with his wife. However Samantha Cameron (David Cameron’s wife),
who was driving with her other children, believed Nancy had hopped in with her
husband, David. But this wasn’t obviously the case as you can probably see...
So where was Nancy?
Well, when the Cameron family arrived home,
that’s when they realised that Nancy was missing. They quickly rushed back to
the pub and thankfully, when they arrived at the pub 15 minutes later; their
daughter was happily playing with the staff there. A HUGE relief! Who knows
what could of happened if the Cameron family didn’t react as quick as they
did...?
The end of online bullies?
The government pplan to force websites to identify online bullies (trolls). It wants victims to identify horrible or hateful messages on social networking sites like 
acebook and Twitter
.
At the moment it can take months and years of court cases to access this info but they want immediate access.
Last week a woman from Brighton won a court order forcing Facebook to tell her the identities of people who abused her on the site. A survey in February stated that more than 1 in 4 secondary school students had been victims of cyberbullying.

Giant tortoise love affair ends after 115 years
Unfortuanatly it looks like the worlds longest tortoise love may have come to a sad end. Galapagos giant tortoises Bibi and Poldi have been together for 115 years, but recently the two tortoises had a giant fall out. The argument started when Bibi bit part of Poldi's shell, she kept on attacking him until he was moved to another enclosure. This is when their keepers found something was wrong! Experts have been brought in to try and bring them back together but so far there has been no succsess. Experts have tried feeding them 'romantic' food and getting them to play games but nothing happens.
The zoo's owner Helga Happ
says she's very sad they don't like each other anymore and she's doing all she
can to get them to make up.
She said: "They are both 115
years old - they have been together since they were young and grew up together,

EURO 2012 Group A
Here are the points for Group A so far:

Russia are of course at the top of table, with the Czech Republic and Poland following closely behind. Being last is not going to help Greece with their financial breakdown; but it still might go either way. Well... I don't think it will because Greece are facing the tough Russians next. Are they going to do it? You can find out on the 16th of June.

The game started off well, with Poland mostly dominating the play. They had to either win or draw this game to be in with a chance of getting out of the group stages. In their last match, Russia scored 4 goals to 1; which put them forward as a threat for the co-hosts, Poland. The Russians were getting stronger towards the end of half time, starting to head more in the direction of the goal. It all paid of in the 37th minute, Dzagoev scored the nights opening goal for his home country, Russia. That was the end of that.
In the second half, Poland were getting stronger, and therefore getting better chances at scoring. So good in fact that they did score, but the Polish player was offside. By now, all you could hear in the stadium were the home fans cheering on their team. You could say that this was what really got Poland going. Błaszczykowski had a fantastic opportunity in the 57th minute, and he did not let it go spare. Poland scored, levelling out the game. The fans were going wild, shouting 'one more, one more!!!' (in Polish). The eleven in white tried and tried again. In the end they had to settle with a satisfactory draw.

This is the second round of the group games. If the Czech republic don't win, they might not get to the quarter finals. They lost their last game, Greece drew theirs; which way will this one go? Let's find out!
Straight after kick off, you could see that the Czech's weren't going to let this one slip through their finger tips. They were getting closer and closer to the goal. Then, in a split second Jiracek found himself with the ball and took a shot over the goalkeeper and into the net. 1-0 to the Czech Republic after just 3 minutes. This was not looking good for Greece at all; and it was about to get worse, much, much worse. The Czech's were closing in on the goal once again. This time from the right. The ball was passed to Pilar and ended up in the back of the net; 3 minutes after the first goal. The Greeks were down by 2 goals, and there wasn't much to do about it.
The second half bring some luck along, as Greece were running with the ball towards the goal. They had a go, and guess what, they scored! But the happiness was soon turned to pain. An official put his flag up into the air. Greece were offside. Great. Fortunately, they were dominating the game and another scoring chance came along. Gekas, who has just been brought onto the pitch as a sub, scored the goal. Their only goal for today. The game ended 2-1 to the Czech Republic.
During the match there were some injuries. Greek goalkeeper, Chalkias, went off the pitch in pain. There must have been something wrong with his thigh as the team's medics put ice around it. The another player from Greece, sorry I can't remember who ( but I think it was a defender) was hit in the head with a Czech's shoe. It did bleed a bit but he was alright.
Join me later with the match between Poland and Russia. These two countries aren't the best of friends, we saw some evidence of this in Warsaw a couple of minutes ago. The two sides of fans clashed and attacked each other; the police got involved and nearly found themselves in danger. I wonder what will happen during the match....hmm....
