At the age of 82, American hero, Neil Armstrong dies from complications following a heart surgery

He first step foot on the moon on the 20th July 1969 and said 'One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind', a quote that became quickly famous. Neil received the Congressional Gold Medal, which is the highest US civilian award, last November. He was the commander of Apollo 11 craft,which 500 million people watched descend onto the moon. Both him and a fellow astronaught, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, spent nearly 3 hours, walking across the moon.

Mr Aldrin told the press that 'He is deeply saddend by the death of his friend and crew mate and is even more upset by the fact that he wont be able to celebrate the 50th annaversery of the landing in 2019'. Born in Ohio in 1930, Armstrong took his first flight aged six with his father and formed a lifelong passion for flying. But Apollo 11 was his last mission and he left NASA in 1971 to teach aerospace engineering.

Super Fast 4G Mobile Web To Be Launched.

Superfast 4G mobile internet that can download a whole movie in just minutes, will launch this year in the UK.

T-Mobile and Orange were given permission by Ofcom to convert some of their existing 2G signals into 4G.

Rivals Vodafone and O2 will have to wait until 2013 to launch their 4G services because their signals can't be converted.

Vodafone said Ofcom's decision was "careless" because it gave T-Mobile and Orange an unfair head start.

O2 said they were "disappointed" that their customers would be excluded.

Man jailed after attempting to claim lottery jackpot

30-year-old shopkeeper Farrakh Nizzar has been jailed for 30 months after claiming to own a winning lottery ticket belonging to an elderly couple. CCTV evidence shows the illegal over-stayer, who is due to be deported to Pakistan, telling Maureen Holt her ticket was 'worthless', despite having a value of one million pounds. He then attempted to claim the prize, however suspicions arose after he failed to answer questions about the winning ticket.

Mr and Mrs Holt were eventually traced via their Tesco Clubcard, and have since received the jackpot. Farrakh Nizzar was found guilty and charged with fraud by false representation. He came to the UK on a student visa and completed a diploma in business studies. His visa had since run out, and was refused leave to remain in the UK, meaning he was unable to work or claim benefits. As an over-stayer, he was apparently faced with 'irresistible temptation' to claim the prize. He has written a letter of apology to Mr and Mrs Holt.
