Further Snow Disruptions For UK

Heavy snow has fallen in the UK which is set to cause travel disruption as the Friday rush hour starts. More than 3,000 schools in England & Wales have been closed which meant that A level exams were cancelled. Flights at Heathrow Airport have been cancelled. Also heavy snow falls in Wales as the Met Office puts in a rare red warning, there is an amber warning for most of the UK. People are also stocking up on items such as Bread, Vegetables, Milk, and other essentials leaving the shelves empty. At a Tesco in South Wales it was reported that hundreds of shoppers stocked up in shops, due to the rare red warning given by the Met Office. People are rushing into stores and grabbing whatever they can find left on the shelves and it is busier than it was just before Christmas.

Dog goes to dead owners church every day

Ciccio, a 12 year old German Shepherd, has been turning up to his dead owners church every day since he died in November. Before his owner died, Ciccio attended the church regularly for years. He goes to the church as soon as he hears the church bells ringing every afternoon, just like he did for years when his owner was alive. Ciccio also attended his owner`s funeral, following his owner`s coffin as it was carried into the church. The dog impressed some local villagers so much, that they have decided to adopt him. They have built him a covered area outside the church for him to sleep in and supply him with food and water each day.

Don't Throw Snow!

By Leah Booker

Fun and games of snowball fights are over as now the snow is turning to ice and is VERY dangerous.

As requested by Mr.Blackwell there is to be no more throwing of snow (ice) as if it is to hit someone it can have serious consequences. As tempting as it may be, the ice is now dangerous to throw.

It's Coming
Alton Towers is a theme park and resort located in Staffordshire, England, UK. In 2011, it attracted 2.7 million visitors, making it the most visited theme park in the United Kingdom and the 9th most visited theme park in Europe. It employs in excess of 2,000 staff members during the summer months, over 1,000 of which are full-time. It is based north of the village of Alton in Staffordshire.

Currently at Alton Towers there are many rides suitable for all ages and heights. There is a ride for everyone to enjoy! At Alton Towers there are 10 thrill rides, they are:

These are the current rides at Alton Towers but in 2012 there was a new edition to the park called Nemesis Sub-Terra, a former friend of Nemesis. However there is yet again ANOTHER ride coming to the park. It is yet again another thrill ride, great news for those who love to take to the extreme. The new ride is called SW7. The ride holds 16 people per train, in rows of 4 and the whole ride lasts 165 seconds. This new ride will be located in the X Sector, the area in which Oblivion is. Also the ride has a 30m drop, the track is 1170 metres long and the top speed of this ride is 85km/hr. That’s very fast indeed! However like for most thrill rides at Alton Towers, you have to be a minimum of 1.4m metre to get on this spectacular ride.

THE SPECIAL FEATURE ON THE SW7!
Finally, this ride is set to be a new world beating rollercoaster which means it will be the first of its kind in the world! How amazing!? The reason why it is set to be a new record is because there is a certain feature among it which has never been added to a roller coaster before. Few has been said about the special feature on the ride, but amazingly the people who are building the ride have shown a short video and some images of the SW7’s special feature, but they have also shown some images of what the overall ride looks like! So for all those thrill seekers out there, be sure not to miss the opening of this amazing ride! Why not take a look at what the SW7 ride is planned to run like by watching the video below....

Goats In Boots?

Goat In Boots?

I’m sure you have all heard ‘Puss In Boots’ but ‘Goat In Boots’ – seriously? This four legged animal is not a fictional character, like in stories or in a film, it’s a real life specimen that resides in the tiny village of Probus in Cornwall, England.

Earlier in December, Maisie, a 12-year old rescue goat has been sporting two pairs of stylish pink rain boots. This has nothing to do with looking fashionable, but it’s to ensure she can get cured of her hoof rot, a painful and serious condition akin to trench foot in humans, caused by prolonged exposure to the soggy fields that she has been spending her days on, following the recent floods in the area.

Maria Mulkeen, (the shelter’s founder) was the one who decided, the only way to save the Maisie, who already suffers from painful arthritis further anguish, was by protecting her hooves to help them dry off.
Strangely… This is not the first time an English animal has been suited with gum boots. A pig farmer in North Yorkshire put some green wellies on a baby pig because… believe it or not, in 2008 Cinders was afraid of mud! People sure hope the boots work as well for Maisie as they seemed to, for Cinders.

Lady Gaga Flashes Bum during concert

The singer was flashing onstage in front of thousands of Little Monsters in Vancouver, Canada on Friday when her Versace trousers tore open, exposing her bare bottom underneath.

Gaga has also been criticised after wearing a bra with guns attached to it. This may upset some parents after the school killings.

New Judge On Got To Dance!

Got to Dance is a reality talent show dance competition that has been broadcast on Sky1 in the United Kingdom and Ireland since the 20th of December 2009. Auditions for the show take place in some specially built Dance Domes and the show welcomes dance acts of any age, style or size.

Last year on Got To Dance was the final series that Adam Garcia would be a judge on the panel. Adam was born on the 1st of June1973 and he is an Australian actor and tap dancer. Adam had been a fantastic judge and inspired a lot of people, but he also made good friends with Ashley (a judge on the panel). When the public heard that Adam would be leaving Got To Dance for good, quite a lot of people were very disappointed and some even said that they would refuse to watch Got To Dance now that he had left as he was a very professional and talented dancer and shouldn’t have to leave.

www.zimbio.comHowever there are two other judges on the panel to this very day. Ashley Banjo and Kimberly Wyatt. Ashley Banjo was born on the 4th of October 1988 and he is an English street dancer. He is also the leader of the famous street dance group, ‘Diversity’, who as a group won the third series of Britain’s Got Talent. Kimberley Wyatt was born on the 4th of February 1982 and she is an American showgirl, song-writer, dancer, model, actress and choreographer. Ashley and Kimberly remain judges on the 2013 series of Got To Dance, but because Adam had sadly left, there had to be a new judge to join the panel of judges…

Well I can tell you that the new judge of Got To Dance 2013 and who will hopefully staying as a judge for many years to come is… Our very own, Aston Merrygold! Aston was born on the 13th of February 1988 and he is a British singer with the famous boy band group: ‘JLS’. Aston will be officially joining Ashley and Kimberly on the judges panel and I am sure we all can’t wait to see the new series coming to our screens on Saturday the 12th of January 2013 on Sky1. Be sure not to miss it!

iOS 6.1 GM Released to Developers

iOS 6 was released in September last year for most Apple devices. Now the final beta version for iOS 6.1 is available for developers to download. The new software caused a storm, but for all the wrong reasons. The Maps application was and is the worst, users have stated that the maps are inaccurate, black and white in some areas, small sections of the map are covered by clouds and that the 3D mode isn't the best. Recently, the Do Not Disturb mode has encountered a bug which hasn't yet been fixed, although Apple promised they would sort it out soon. But that was over a week ago now.

The first iOS 6.1 beta version was released in November and since then the company issued three more betas, including the 'Golden Master' version which is the final one, hopefully. It is said that the new software version fixes a lot of bugs in the interface and with connectivity. Nothing has been said about an update for the Maps application, lets hope there is one. The new version will, if people are right, be available for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4 and 4s, iPhone 3gs, the fourth, third and second generation of the iPad, the iPad mini and the fifth and fourth generations of the iPod Touch. It's likely that iOS 6.1 will be released in the next two months to users worldwide and it better be 'polished down' enough.
